Dawn Mac Allister is a Cork based casting director. Since 2017, Dawn has cast for film, TV, music videos and commercials. Her work includes music videos for the Rubberbandits, Mango X Mathman and James Arthur, short form dramas with award-winning Irish directors Mia Mullarkey, TJ O’Grady Peyton, Stevie Russell and Dave Tynan and community casting for a Jameson USA commercial featuring NFL star Ryan Fitzpatrick.  

Recent highlights include casting 3 x Screen Ireland Focus Shorts in 2023 (Uroboros, Wrecker and the 2024 DIFF Best Irish Short Awarded Room Taken) and the Irish casting for the first ever VR TV series commissioned by Eli Roth’s Crypt TV for the META Quest platform.

She has worked assisting in the offices of Louise Kiely, Claire Curry, Ali Coffey and Amy Rowan.

In 2021, she was nominated for the Discovery Award at the Dublin Film Festival. With a varied background in festivals, theatre and film and TV production in Ireland, she brings a diverse knowledge to the world of casting.
